What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8+ years of experience in mechanical or aerospace design engineering, preferably in propulsion systems or nacelles, Experience with 3D CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 SolidWorks or NX acceptable), Understanding of manufacturing processes, Experience with GD&T practices, Experience with tolerance stack‑ups, Experience with root cause analysis, Experience with design for manufacturability principles, Experience with relevant aerospace industry standards, Experience with leading or contributing to Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Enovia, etc.)

Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills, Background in advanced concept development or technology maturation programs, Demonstrated knowledge of structural principles, Demonstrated knowledge of materials behavior, Demonstrated knowledge of certification requirements, Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and drive engineering solutions with minimal supervision, Ability to influence and lead teams with minimal supervision, Highly organized with problem-solving and decision‑making skills, Self-driven, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities

Serve as the technical authority for structural design topics related to engine nacelles
Lead and execute complex structural design projects
Develop high-quality 3D models
and detailed engineering drawings
Support the design and development of advanced nacelle structures for future aircraft platforms
and technical oversight to junior and mid-level engineers
Prepare and deliver technical presentations
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies

Team & Collaboration
Collaborate cross-functionally with Stress, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations and Program Management teams
Communication Scope
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, reviews, and documentation
Process & Methodology
Lead complex engineering projects, Provide technical direction
