Must Have
B. A. Sc. /B. Eng. in Civil or Structural Engineering, P. Eng. (PEGNL, ENS) with ability to obtain registration in other Canadian jurisdictions, Approximately 15 to 18+ years of experience in the design and delivery of ports and marine structures, Recognized Project Manager and technical expert with engineering judgment and accountability for technical decisions, Extensive experience with reinforced concrete, steel, and foundation systems in marine environments, Proven leadership in technical reviews, mentoring, and multidisciplinary coordination, Excellent communication skills for senior client engagement and technical leadership
What You'll Do.
Lead the development of the buisness opportunities
oversee project execution across Atlantic region
Act as technical authority and escalation point for complex and high-risk marine structural projects
Define and approve design approaches
and methodologies for ports and marine infrastructure
Lead and review advanced structural analyses and independent engineering checks
Provide technical oversight and direction to senior and intermediate engineers
Oversee QA/QC across project deliverables and ensure alignment with applicable codes and standards
Support and contribute to proposal development
including scope definition
and technical content
Maintain trusted client relationships and provide senior technical input to support long-term client needs
Provide construction-phase technical leadership and resolve complex field issues
Mentor senior engineers and support technical progression and succession planning within the Ports & Marine team

### **Job Description** ## Overview Join AtkinsRéalis as a Principal Marine Structural Engineer within our Ports & Marine team. This senior technical leadership role provides accountability for the delivery, technical excellence, and strategic direction of complex ports and marine projects. You will serve as a trusted technical authority, mentor senior engineers, engage directly with clients, and support the continued growth and maturity of the Ports & Marine practice.
