### **Job Description** ## Overview Join AtkinsRéalis as a Principal Marine Structural Engineer within our Ports & Marine team. This senior technical leadership role provides accountability for the delivery, technical excellence, and strategic direction of complex ports and marine projects. You will serve as a trusted technical authority, mentor senior engineers, engage directly with clients, and support the continued growth and maturity of the Ports & Marine practice. As, Principal Project Director, you will be involved in the business development and the development of relation with the Port Authority of the Atlantic region. _Location: Bedford, Nova Scotia or St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada (Bedford or St. John’s office preferred; hybrid work options)_ ## Your Role _Reports to: Team Lead/Director, Ports & Marine – Canada_ * Lead the development of the buisness opportunities and oversee project execution across Atlantic region. * Act as technical authority and escalation point for complex and high-risk marine structural projects. * Define and approve design approaches, standards, and methodologies for ports and marine infrastructure. * Lead and review advanced structural analyses and independent engineering checks. * Provide technical oversight and direction to senior and intermediate engineers. * Oversee QA/QC across project deliverables and ensure alignment with applicable codes and standards. * Support and contribute to proposal development, including scope definition, fee estimation, and technical content. * Maintain trusted client relationships and provide senior technical input to support long-term client needs. * Provide construction-phase technical leadership and resolve complex field issues. * Mentor senior engineers and support technical progression and succession planning within the Ports & Marine team. ## About You * B.A.Sc./B.Eng. in Civil or Structural Engineering * P.Eng. (PEGNL, ENS) with ability to obtain registration in other Canadian
