Full Job Description
At Saxo, client pricing is a key driver of revenue and client experience. The Client Pricing IT team builds and operates systems powering fees, commissions, taxes, interest, rewards, and subscription pricing across the platform. We are looking for a Principal Backend Engineer with strong senior-level technical expertise to play a key role in evolving these business-critical systems. This is a hands-on engineering position with significant architectural influence, working closely with business stakeholders and distributed engineering teams. You will join our Copenhagen HQ as part of a smaller, highly international team, closely collaborating with a larger engineering team in India as part of a global setup. **Responsibilities** * Design and evolve backend systems supporting transactional and non-transactional pricing models. * Build scalable services using C# and .NET / .NET Core. * Design and maintain RESTful and gRPC APIs with clear, business-aligned contracts. * Develop synchronous and asynchronous integrations supporting pricing workflows. * Work across event-driven and service-oriented architectures. * Maintain and optimize SQL Server databases, including performance-critical and legacy DB-centric components. * Maintain and drive the transition of legacy systems toward modern, scalable, loosely coupled architectures. * Ensure high standards for reliability, correctness, observability, and performance in revenue-critical systems. * Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate complex pricing and commercial logic into robust technical solutions. * Contribute to architectural direction, engineering standards, and long-term platform evolution. * Act as a key technical counterpart in Copenhagen, collaborating closely with distributed teams in India. **Your Profile** * Extensive backend engineering experience, operating at Senior, Staff, or Principal level. * Strong expertise in C#, .NET, distributed systems, and API design. * Solid SQL Server experience, i
