Position Summary As a Principal Analyst, Power Markets Modeler, you will serve as a high-level subject matter expert and strategic lead in the development of our asset-level forecasts. You will dive deep into North American power market fundamentals and regulatory trends to deliver sophisticated insights into renewable, thermal, and transmission assets. In this role, you will not only lead complex modeling projects but also shape the methodology and technical standards that drive our data platform forward. Position Details Salary range: $135,000 - $160,000 Location: Hybrid - Boston (Newton), MA Full-time Hybrid - 2 days in the office Reporting to: Director, Energy Modeling Travel requirements: Occasional travel as needed for client or team collaboration Primary Responsibilities Develop Grid Models: Build and maintain forecasts of the North American electric grid using in-house tools and proprietary procedures. Market Monitoring: Track trends in renewable energy, battery storage, energy policy, and the retirement of conventional generation. Data Automation: Leverage technical skills to automate the ingestion of input datasets and the analysis of model results.
