What They're Looking For.
Must Have
thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and specifiactions, equipment, and safety requirements, read and understand job specifications, knowledge of press capabilities, make a variety of difficult precise settings of controls, settings, and adjustments, perform routine operational maintenance of equipment, routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment, Knowledge of the appropriate amount of packing pressure needed to obtain the proper printing pressure for the type of job being run, use of micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctly
What You'll Do.
and maintain press equipment
Perform make-ready tasks
hang plates or installing cylinders
examine plates/cylinders for imperfections
checks for correct positioning of images
adjusting tension and register
Make necessary color corrections
press adjustments prior to production run
and maintain the press
replacing worn or broken parts
Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer
All other duties as assigned
