Industry & Context.
Up to 75% travel, Extended overnight travel, Work outside of normal business hours, Work during weekends, Work up to 14 days continuously, Work in variable weather conditions, Work in remote locations, Work on difficult or hazardous terrain, Physically demanding environments, Must be 18 years of age or older, Hold a company credit card, Complete a background check, Complete a motor vehicle record check
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
NWCG Crew Boss (CRWB) or Engine Boss (ENGB), Faller 2, Minimum of five years of wildland fire or fuels management experience, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, Demonstrated ability to lead crews or teams in field conditions, Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Valid U. S. drivers license
Nice to Have
RXB3 or higher, ICT4, Experience as lead instructor for NWCG courses (M410), Familiarity with GIS and basic spatial data tools
What You'll Do.
and oversight of fire
and implementation of Fire
Lead prescribed fire and fuels crews
Coordinate across multiple projects
Supervise and support project managers
Engage in prescribed fire and wildfire operations
Execute prescribed fire and fuels management project work
Support prescribed fire incident management organizations
Coordinate with project partners
and equipment needs are met
Complete pre-project checklists
Lead fuels reduction projects
and individuals or crews
Develop and maintain entry pathway into TEA crews
Identify and recruit qualified candidates
Build relationships with fire training programs
Support crewmember progression through NWCG qualification pathways
Track Good Jobs Pipeline participants
Connect participants to advanced training
Provide mentorship to trainee firefighters
Serve as an instructor on NWCG trainings
Assist with cache management
Maintain fire equipment and apparatus
Maintain accurate records for assigned program areas
Meet administrative requirements associated with fire operations
Manage work assignments with minimal direction
