Full Job Description
SUMMARY At Magnolia, the Prep Cook is responsible for preparing food to restaurant specifications, quality, and standards. This position works from Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Assistant Kitchen Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work as a team player and prepare high-quality food orders in a timely and efficient manner Possess a thorough working understanding of all recipes, restaurant standards, and visual standards* Ensure recipe adherence* Communicate to restaurant leaders quality of product and stock levels* Contribute to minimal waste by following prep lists and recipes* Carry out instructions of kitchen management Operate equipment safely and in line with best-use practices for each piece of equipment Check with management anytime quality of products is in question Adhere to standards of cleanliness and sanitation* Perform other duties as assigned *Metrics evaluated on Performance Review COMPETENCIES Teamwork: Contribute to a team environment supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
