What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Must meet Massachusetts EEC requirements for a Preschool/Pre-K Teacher position, Previous experience working in a preschool, pre-kindergarten, daycare, or early childhood education setting required, EEC Teacher Certification, Ability to create a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment for preschool-aged children, Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities, successful completion of all required Massachusetts background checks and EEC requirements
Nice to Have
EEC Teacher Certification Lead Teacher certification preferred, CDA, Associate’s Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred, understanding of child development, classroom management, and developmentally appropriate practices
What You'll Do.
Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate pre-kindergarten curriculum and classroom activities aligned with Massachusetts early childhood education standards
and organized preschool classroom environment that promotes kindergarten readiness and positive child development
Leading daily classroom routines including circle time
and classroom transitions
Supporting children’s cognitive
and physical development through play-based and structured learning experiences
Supervising children throughout the school day while maintaining active engagement
and safe teacher-to-child ratios
Building relationships and open communication with families regarding student progress
and developmental milestones
Collaborating with Assistant Teachers and center leadership to maintain a positive and supportive childcare team environment
Maintaining classroom cleanliness
and sanitization in accordance with Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations and health and safety standards
Preparing lesson plans
and educational activities that encourage creativity
Ensuring compliance with all Massachusetts EEC regulations
and early childhood education quality standards

We are currently hiring a warm, reliable, and EEC-certified Pre-K Teacher to join our school in Norwell, Massachusetts. This position works specifically with a classroom of older preschoolers— that magical in-between age where independence is emerging and big feelings meet big imagination. If you love guiding early learners through language development, social growth, and hands-on exploration, this is the role for you. ## What You'll Do As a Pre-K Teacher, you will lead a structured and engaging preschool classroom focused on school readiness, hands-on learning, and social-emotional growth while maintaining a safe and nurturing childcare environment.
