Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions, Limited amount of local and/or multiple location traveling required, Professional Dress is required when in contact with families, Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per day, Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day, Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently, Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 pounds), Push/pull up to 90 kg (200 pounds), Physical effort requiring manual dexterity, Working beyond “standard” hours as the need arises, Local travel
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Equivalent to high school education, completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school specializing in funeral service or experience equivalent, High level of compassion and integrity, Good communication skills, Problem solving skills, Professional and team player
Nice to Have
Funeral industry experience, Previous customer service and/or sales experience, Knowledge of computers and some software or willingness to learn
What You'll Do.
Assist with funeral home and cremation duties
Meet the general public
Answer questions and provide information
Answer phones courteously and politely
memorial and other services
Prepare funeral services
Prepare documents for services
Prepare remains of deceased
Clean and maintain funeral home vehicles
Operate office equipment
Guide people and park cars
Drive funeral home vehicles
Ensure refreshments are available
Perform other duties as directed
