Must Have

bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree, in mathematics, economics, engineering (electrical preferred), or similar quantitative field, Three to 10 years’ professional experience operating zonal or nodal market simulation models in industry recognized products such as PLEXOS, ProMod, EnCompass, Ability to manage and lead small teams of analysts to execute deliverables, Ability to work collaboratively within a small team to develop and rapidly iterate on technical views to incorporate feedback from internal and external parties, Ability to advance new technical solutions (e. g. , model improvements, analytics) with limited guidance, Demonstrated experience, via current or past work experience, in one or more North American power market (e. g. , ERCOT, ISO New England, NYISO), Advanced Excel skills, Analytical skills, sound judgment, creative problem solving, commercial awareness, Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and externally with clients, both verbal and written

Nice to Have

Prior consulting experience is strongly preferred, Candidates with prior PLEXOS experience are preferred, Familiarity with congestion curtailment analysis, capacity expansion methodologies, battery optimization modeling, and/or GIS a plus, Experience using PLEXOS API/Cloud SDK and automating data workflows is a plus, Demonstrated ability to work in Python or R is preferred

We are building our team to support clients’ growing needs and we are looking for an exceptional candidate with expertise in power market modeling, zonal and/or nodal simulation, and forecasting to join our team. The Power Market Simulation/Forecasting Expert will help our team meet our clients’ growing need for insights into the challenges and opportunities of the rapidly evolving power markets. Salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000 depending upon experience and qualifications.
