What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3 years of hands-on experience in powder coating, Knowledge of surface preparation, Knowledge of powder application processes, Visual inspection skills, Attention to detail, Understanding of material handling, Understanding of manufacturing workflow processes, Ability to follow written instructions, Ability to follow verbal instructions, Mechanical aptitude, Comfort working with industrial production equipment
Nice to Have
SSPC certification, PCI certification, Experience with PLC-controlled systems, Experience with automated finishing systems, Background in sheet metal fabrication, Background in manufacturing environments
What You'll Do.
Set up powder coating equipment
Operate powder coating equipment
Apply electrostatic powder coatings
Ensure proper coverage
Ensure finish quality
Hang parts on conveyor systems
Load parts on conveyor systems
Position parts on conveyor systems
Prepare surfaces through cleaning
Prepare surfaces through masking
Prepare surfaces through rinsing
Prepare surfaces through pre-treatment
Adjust oven temperature
Perform water sampling
Perform water testing
Verify correct coating materials
Verify correct powder selections
Confirm quality standards
Complete production logs
Complete inspection records
Complete maintenance documentation
Troubleshoot coating defects
Troubleshoot equipment issues
Troubleshoot process inconsistencies
Maintain clean production area
