Full Job Description
## Core Responsibilities Set up and operate powder coating equipment, including manual spray systems and automated coating booths Apply electrostatic powder coatings to metal components while ensuring proper coverage and finish quality Hang, load, and position parts on conveyor systems with correct grounding and spacing Prepare surfaces through cleaning, masking, rinsing, and pre-treatment procedures Monitor curing ovens and adjust temperature or cycle times as needed for production requirements Perform water sampling and testing throughout pre-treatment stages to support process quality Verify correct coating materials and powder selections according to work instructions Inspect coated parts using visual inspections and measuring tools to confirm quality standards Complete production logs, inspection records, and maintenance documentation accurately Troubleshoot coating defects, equipment issues, or process inconsistencies as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area in accordance with company and OSHA standards ## Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in powder coating or industrial finishing Knowledge of surface preparation and powder application processes Strong visual inspection skills and attention to detail Understanding of material handling and manufacturing workflow processes Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a team-oriented environment Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial production equipment ## Preferred Experience SSPC or PCI certification is a plus Experience working with PLC-controlled or automated finishing systems Previous background in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environments ## Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Capable of standing, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift Comfortable working in varying temperatures within an industrial environment Must be able to pass a general physical and respirator
