What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Ph. D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field, Knowledge of laboratory chemical synthesis and use of chemical analysis instruments, Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position
Nice to Have
Experiences in use IR, UV-Vis, GC-MS, HPLC and NMR instruments, Experiences in use of OriginLab Graphing & Analysis software
What You'll Do.
support research in the Bioenergy research thrust as well as new Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) research
catalytic conversion of cellulosic biomass to Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) research
Synthesis and characterization of catalysts and testing catalysts for the conversion of cellulosic biomass to hydrocarbon biocrude oils and biofuels
Participate in the Center's educational and outreach activities
including workshops and seminars
Assist with all the necessary reports and cataloging of records and other related tasks
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
supervise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students with research projects; assist the center director and the research team

write journal articles
