What They're Looking For.
Must Have
PhD in a field related to environmental research or environmental health, Completed their PhD by the start of employment
Nice to Have
Experience coordinating project milestones and tracking deliverables in an academic or professional setting, interpersonal and communication skills with various community stakeholders
What You'll Do.
Lead the execution and analysis of a two-wave survey examining heat exposure and experiences among residents of Houston
Recruiting and training community health workers
Participant enrollment
Data management and analysis
Preparation of reports and peer-reviewed publications
Develop high-impact manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
Present research findings at one national conference
Contribute to future grant proposals
Assist with ongoing grant reporting activities
Assist in the preparation of annual project reports
Oversee day-to-day operations of the research study
Coordinating with the team at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Managing research staff
Coordinating hiring processes
Handling project finances and reimbursements
Ensuring IRB compliance
Maintaining high data quality standards
