contribute to studies of neural crest and placode cells; support the training of undergraduate and graduate students; contribute to the day-to-day operations of the laboratory; contribute to advancing the lab’s scientific objectives
Industry & Context.
lifting and moving of moderately weighted goods (20-50 lbs.), operating tissue culture cell tanks, utilizing hazardous chemicals, compressed gases, maneuver, handle, or feel objects, tools, or instrument controls, prolonged periods of standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, accessing necessary tools and objects, operate a computer, utilize devices and make observations from diverse angles of perception, adjusting exploratory and imaging devices, work in conditions with fluctuating temperatures, spaces up to 83 F for extended periods, background check, employment eligibility verification (on Form I-9)
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Ph.D. in cell biology, developmental biology, or a closely related field, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative research environments, Foundational experience in laboratory-based research, biochemistry assays, immunoblotting, molecular biology techniques, cloning, histology, immunohistochemistry, embryological techniques, cell culture methods
Nice to Have
advanced or specialized techniques, Confocal microscopy, Mouse handling and colony management, Expanded molecular and biomechanical methodologies, Breadth of experience across multiple experimental platforms relevant to developmental biology

Design and execute experiments
