What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree (business and/or data science/analytics related), 2 - 4 years of experience in data management within a financial solid financial acumen, Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analysis or reporting, knowledge of and experience with analytic tools and programming languages (Python/R, and SQL with VBA a plus), Excellent command and proficiency of MS excel, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, well-organized, self-starter, able to multitask and deliver work products on short timeframes, Willingness to learn and absorb complex lending structures and legal documents and translate economic and risk factors to financial models and tools used to manage the overall portfolio, Experience with synthesizing and visualizing data for presentations, Ability and openness to understanding operational, accounting, and legal aspects of investments, Demonstrated interest in and experience with operational enablement through technology, Excellent documentation and communication skills, Control focused and attentive to detail
Nice to Have
Prior experience in investment reporting and analysis within private credit highly preferred, Experience working with at least one alternative asset class and a good understanding of the risks and operations of others across the alternative investment landscape, hands on experience with PowerBi or Tableau preferred, VBA a plus
What You'll Do.
Perform routine data cleansing/pre-processing and automate data transformation processes.
Support with maintenance of BPF’s proprietary portfolio monitoring database and assessing data quality & integrity on a continuous basis.
and interpret financial data and uncover trends within large/complex data sets.
Identify various process improvement solutions and support with development of predictive analytic capabilities.
Critically evaluate information provided from multiple sources – both internal and external – and reconcile discrepancies to ensure sound data quality.
Produce (and automate where possible) regularly scheduled and ad-hoc management reports to enable decision making.
Participate in technology/automation initiatives to drive streamlined integration with borrowers
and third-party vendors.
Support internal controls activities.
