Identify cause of failure; Identify and order parts; Provide hands on assistance to affect repairs
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U. S. Government Clearance, U. S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance, Must be able to pass DoD physical and respirator fit test once on island, Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities, Valid driver’s license and passport will be required, Be available to ride as Chief Engineer on all vessels
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High School Diploma, Minimum 3 years in marine engineering role, Working knowledge of marine vessel systems, Must be able to pass DoD physical and respirator fit test once on island, Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities, Valid driver’s license and passport will be required, Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U. S. Government Clearance, U. S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
Nice to Have
Marine engineering 4000hp preferred, 4000 horsepower diesel engine USCG certification, certificates with shipboard electrical systems, HVAC, multiple ship systems a plus, License in diesel engines preferred
What You'll Do.
Maintain and document PM requirements
Maintain up-to-date documentation binders
Collect and maintain documentation for lube oil
Identify cause of failure
Provide hands on assistance
Maintain reference and historical repair binders
order and install new equipment
Order components as needed
Review status and need for on-hand spares
Become familiar with all AUTEC vessels
Master working knowledge of vessel systems
Be available to ride as Chief Engineer
Manage issuance of POs
Manage annual certifications
Maintain a schedule status board
Be available to work with Harbor Master
Communicate vessel manning requirements
Address manning deficiencies
Responsible for oversight of HSMSTs
Keep fleet in mission readiness
Oversight authority over marine staff

Work with vendor subject matter experts; Work with the Senior Marine Engineer; Work with the marine outboard mechanic; Work with the Harbor Master
