**Scope of the Work** Reports to Sleep Manager under supervision by Polysomnographic Technologist. A Student Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and designee (department director/manager/supervisor/technologist) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. **AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:** **Corewell Health East Sleep Centers** **Qualifications** * Required High School Diploma or equivalent * Preferred associate’s degree * Currently, enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP or STAR designated online Self Study Modules in preparation for certification exam OR, completed ASTEP didactic education program OR, in a formal polysomnography program and/or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option. * Familiar with the field of sleep medicine with progressive completion of an A-Step or other CAAHEP program.
