Minimum one (1) year polysomnographic technology experience

Performing comprehensive Polysomnographic testing and analysis

Associated interventions

Arrival preparation and electrode/sensor application

cleaning and safety precautions

Monitoring Pulse Oximetry

Polysomnographic montages and equipment calibration and function

Supplemental low flow oxygen titration

A Polysomnographic Technician can provide oversight of a Polysomnographic Trainee. This is a technical position functioning independently with limited supervision. Work situations require extensive knowledge and the application of advanced expertise in the field of sleep disorders, and sound clinical judgments, actions, and decision making regarding unusual patient behavior, i.e. seizure activity, life threatening cardiac and respiratory abnormalities.
