Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, 5 years of relevant plumbing engineering experience, Professional Engineer (PE) license, Proficiency in Revit, Plumbing engineering calculations experience, Designing sanitary waste, venting, stormwater, and service piping systems experience
Nice to Have
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, LEED, WELL, or other sustainable design accreditation, Specialty waste and process utility systems design experience, Familiarity with IAPMO, ISPE, FDA, ISO, NFPA, and OSHA, Leading or supporting field surveys experience, Performing specialty system calculations with limited supervision, Familiarity with Revit plugins, Exposure to Dynamo, Grasshopper, or Rhino, Basic troubleshooting experience with plumbing and fire protection systems

The Plumbing Engineer III is responsible for leading the plumbing design scope on small to mid-sized projects of moderate complexity. This role owns the discipline design process, supports budget management, and collaborates closely with cross-functional project teams—including architects, engineers, clients, and construction partners. This individual is a strong technical contributor with the ability to manage multiple priorities, guide less experienced team members, and independently drive plumbing design deliverables from concept through construction. Core Responsibilities * Design plumbing systems of moderate complexity in accordance with applicable codes and in coordination with multidisciplinary teams * Translate project requirements into defined scope, while documenting key decisions, open items, and action plans to advance design progress * Work independently or under the guidance of a Project Manager or Group Lead * Serve as Engineer of Record for smaller projects when acting as Lead Plumbing Engineer * Manage multiple priorities, establish work plans, and provide direction to junior engineers and designers as needed * Develop engineering narratives, reports, construction drawings, and specifications with minimal oversight * Expand technical expertise in specialty plumbing systems, including reclaim/gray water, process and biological waste, and service utilities (e.g., natural gas, compressed air, CO₂, N₂, O₂) * Support proposal development activities, includ
