What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Red Hat Linux operating systems, virtual machine technologies (KVM, Hyper-V, Nutanix, VMWare ESXi), server hardware from industry leaders such as HPE or Dell EMC, bash, Ansible, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, building and validating servers, automating processes, providing secure and stable systems infrastructure, investigate and resolve server problems, customer-facing role, delivering quality service, supporting client base, providing excellent customer service, 4 - 8 years of experience in building, provisioning and supporting servers in financial industry, At least 4 years of solid experience in building, provisioning physical and logical servers, Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows, Experience with Red Hat Satellite, Experience with building bare metal servers and virtual machine technologies (KVM, Hyper-V, Nutanix, VMWare ESXi), Experience with HPE and Dell hardware and relevant systems management software, Experience scripting in Bash, Ansible and Python, Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible to automate deployment, provisioning and configuration ensuring consistency, Experience in creating detailed deployment documents, runbooks and architectural diagrams and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams, Experience with CI/CD pipeline management using Gitlab, network server-side network skills with an understanding of IP routing, TCP/IP, multicast, DNS, NTP and PTP, client-interaction communication and customer service skills

Experience in a financial industry preferred, ITIL (or comparable) incident response, problem management and change management procedures

Provide tertiary expertise in troubleshooting
diagnosing and resolving server related issues for client systems
Deliver an outstanding level of service to Pico’s customer base
Create necessary technical and system documentation including diagrams
and scheduled reporting

Purpose of the role The Platform Implementation Engineer will be responsible for building and validating servers. In addition, the engineer is responsible for automating processes and providing Pico and our clients with secure and stable systems infrastructure. Platform Implementation Engineers may also be called on to investigate and resolve server problems. This is a customer-facing role, with individual responsibility for delivering quality service, supporting our client base and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in Red Hat Linux operating systems, virtual machine technologies (KVM, Hyper-V, Nutanix, VMWare ESXi), server hardware from industry leaders such as HPE or Dell EMC, bash, and Ansible. The candidate should be familiar with ITIL (or comparable) incident response, problem management and change management procedures. Must be comfortable working with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
