What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate, 5 + years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering (or equivalent), 2 years or more of leadership or team management experience (or equivalent), Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred), Experience working in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure), Experience supporting or operating within a hybrid infrastructure environment, Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automation practices, Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar), Understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems, Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to Have
Experience working with on-prem infrastructure (e. g. , VMware, data center environments) and automating (creating self-service) for highly requested services, Exposure to network and application delivery platforms (e. g. , load balancers like F5, ALB, NLB), Exposure to DNS infrastructure, Background in platform engineering or internal developer platforms, Exposure to cost optimization initiatives related to automating services

Reduce manual provisioning through automation and self-service capabilities

Support the transition toward cloud-first infrastructures and hybrid architecture patterns
Enhance and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Improve platform observability
