What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, SRE, and/or related roles, 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes at scale (Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)/ Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)/ Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)), cluster lifecycle automation, and runtime tooling, 5+ years of experience with IaC (Terraform, Terraform modules, Helm, operators), admission controllers (Open Policy Agent (OPA)/Gatekeeper or webhooks), and policy-as-code practices, 3+ years in a technical leadership and/or people management role, Experience contributing code, IaC, and/or design artifacts, Experience taking prototypes/PoCs to production-grade solutions and enabling downstream teams to operate them, Experience working cross-functionally with architecture, security, operations, and DevEx teams, Experience with prioritization, stakeholder management, release gating, and risk mitigation
Nice to Have
Experience presenting technical designs and tradeoffs to engineering and business leadership, Experience building or operating global multi-cluster fleets or enterprise runtime platforms, Experience with Cluster Application Programming Interface (API), GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), service meshes, observability (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), and chaos engineering, Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to enterprise cloud platforms, Experience with software development in Go, Python, and/or similar languages, Experience authoring reusable IaC modules

Platform Acceleration Manager **Company:** The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is looking for a **Platform Acceleration Manager** to join the team in**Seattle, WA; North Charleston, SC; Chicago, IL; El Segundo, CA; Mesa, AZ; San Diego, CA; Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO.** The Platform Acceleration Manager will lead the Platform Acceleration team: a cross-functional rapid-innovation team responsible for designing, prototyping, and productizing the enterprise runtime platform (golden cluster profiles, lifecycle automation, and runtime security baselines). You will own the Platform Acceleration (PA) roadmap, coordinate Proof of Concept (PoC) to production delivery, and partner with Cloud Strategy, Cloud Architecture, Foundations, Developer Experience (DevEx), and Runtime Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure innovations are validated, documented, and handed off for long-term operation. This is a people-and-program leadership role with an expectation of active, hands-on technical contribution to prototypes, automation, and critical delivery artifacts. **Position Responsibilities:** * Own and prioritize the Platform Acceleration roadmap for the enterprise runtime product (golden profiles, lifecycle automation, admission control, runtime security) * Lead, coach, and grow a team of platform engineers, automation engineers, and runtime security specialists * Drive PoC initiatives: define success criteria, validate performance and security, and convert validated PoCs into production-ready reference implementations; actively contribute technically to PoCs and reference builds * Define and enforce operability acceptance criteria and formal handoff processes (performance baselines, monitoring/alerts, upgrade & rollback plans, runbooks) * Deliver reusable, production-grade Infrastructure as Code (IaC), operators, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that downstream teams (Foundations, DevEx, Runtime SRE) adopt — including authoring or reviewing critical modules * Le
