What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High School diploma or GED, 3+ years of experience in facilities support role, Knowledge in: Mechanical Systems, Knowledge in: Electrical Theory and Troubleshooting, Knowledge in: Plumbing and Piping, Knowledge in: Compressed Air Systems, Knowledge in: minor carpentry, Written and verbal English communication skills, Computer skills and use of MS Office applications, Proficient at troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
Nice to Have
Certification(s) in specific equipment maintenance and diagnostics, 1+ years of experience in a GMP manufacturing facility, Massachusetts State License: Electrician, Massachusetts State License: Pipefitter, Experience reading and understanding P&ID drawings, Experience reading and understanding electrical prints, Experience reading and understanding construction drawings, Demonstrated ability to work hands-on, Desire to interact with equipment and learn mechanical skills, Familiar with typical sensors on automated equipment including temperature, Familiar with typical sensors on automated equipment including pressure, Familiar with typical sensors on automated equipment including flow, Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, Flexibility, the facilities technician will be asked to perform a wide variety of tasks

Diagnose and repair piping systems
Diagnose and repair pumps
Diagnose and repair motors
Conduct planned inspections of fire extinguishers
Conduct planned inspections of eyewash stations
Conduct planned inspections of AED stations
Conduct planned inspections of spill containment kits
Conduct planned inspections of first responder kits

Document all planned and unplanned work
Develop maintenance plans

The plant facilities manager, Senior Facilities Techs, and Facility Techs provide 24/7 coverage to monitor, maintain, and improve the plant facility systems. Plant systems consist of Fire Protection, Chillers, Cooling towers, Air Compressors, Hot water boilers, Steam boilers, Electrical switchgear, Solar panels, UPS systems, Generators, Pumps, Valves, Motors, etc. Manufacturing is contained in ISO-8 clean room and is operated following cGMP regulations.
