What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, 5 years of experience in manufacturing finance or cost accounting, analytical mindset and critical thinking skills, Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and standard costing, Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, formulas, financial modeling), Experience with ERP systems (QAD preferred) including production orders, internal orders, and cost center accounting, Self-starter with a sense of ownership, able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and follow through with minimal supervision, An ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvements, Building partnerships with plant operations and corporate finance teams, This position is not eligible for sponsorship
What You'll Do.
Manage the financial performance of the manufacturing plant
Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts
and standard cost updates
Support monthly variance analysis and provide commentary
Identify and validate Continuous Improvement (CI) and Savings initiatives
Support month-end closing activities
Execute the calculation and reporting of warranty provisions
Maintain accurate BOMs
and cost center rates in ERP
Lead annual standard cost roll
Monitor inventory accuracy
Develop and track CAPEX site specific requests and spending
Provide post-implementation financial reviews and ROI validation

Full Job Description
The Local Plant Controller is a key finance business partner supporting plant operations, manufacturing leadership, and corporate finance. This role is responsible for managing and analyzing all aspects of the plant’s financial performance related to manufacturing cost, inventory, production variances, capital investments, and standard costing. This role ensures compliance with global standards and SOX controls while providing timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to support decision-making, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency. This position plays a critical role in the month-end close, forecasting, annual operating plan, and standard cost updates, ensuring alignment with the broader North American Operations team. This role will directly support the Hiram, OH manufacturing facility. ### Key Responsibilities * Own and manage the financial performance of the manufacturing plant, including manufacturing cost, inventory, CAPEX, and cost of goods sold. * Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and standard cost updates in coordination with plant leadership and the North American Operations Controlling team. * Support monthly variance analysis (labor, overhead, absorption, material usage, and purchase price variances) and provide clear commentary to management. * Identify and validate Continuous Improvement (CI) and Savings initiatives in collaboration with Operations and Engineering. * Support month-end closing activities for the plant, including inventory reconciliation, WIP review, and variance analysis. * Execute the calculation and reporting of warranty provisions, inventory reserves, and E&O (Excess & Obsolete) inventory. * Work with Engineering Maintain accurate BOMs, routings, and cost center rates in ERP to ensure correct product costing. * Lead annual standard cost roll and ensure alignment with corporate guidelines. * Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and scrap rep
