A Planning Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and controlling project schedules and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. ## **Project Scheduling and Programming** Creating detailed construction schedules using software like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools. Developing master schedules, phase plans, and detailed work packages that sequence all construction activities logically. Establishing critical path analysis and identifying dependencies between trades and activities. ## **Resource Planning and Coordination** Coordinating labor, equipment, and material requirements across the project timeline. Working with procurement teams to ensure materials arrive on-site when needed. Planning manpower allocation and forecasting resource needs for different construction phases. ## **Progress Monitoring and Control** Tracking actual progress against planned schedules through regular site visits and coordination meetings. Producing weekly and monthly progress reports with variance analysis. Identifying delays early and implementing corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity. ## **Risk and Mitigation Planning** Identifying potential schedule risks including weather delays, supply chain disruptions, design changes, and resource constraints.
