A Planning Manager at JLL typically oversees strategic planning, space management, and workplace optimization for clients or internal operations. Their core responsibilities generally include: ## **Strategic Space Planning** The Planning Manager develops and implements space utilization strategies that align with client business objectives and real estate portfolios. This involves analyzing current space usage, forecasting future needs based on growth projections or organizational changes, and creating efficient layouts that maximize occupancy while minimizing costs. They work closely with clients to understand their operational requirements and translate these into actionable space plans. ## **Data Analysis and Reporting** They collect, analyze, and interpret workplace data including occupancy rates, space utilization metrics, and cost per square foot. Using IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management Systems) and other planning tools, they generate reports and dashboards that inform decision-making. This data-driven approach helps identify opportunities for consolidation, expansion, or reconfiguration of real estate assets. ## **Project Management and Coordination** Planning Managers coordinate workplace projects from concept through implementation, working with architects, designers, facilities teams, and contractors.
