What They're Looking For.
Must Have
10 years experience working in the development industry, recognised tertiary qualification in planning, engineering, design or development, Knowledge and proficiency in Malaysia development processes, planning legislation, policies, and guidelines, particularly the region of Johor, Experience in obtaining planning approvals, understanding and interpretation of planning instruments, demonstrated knowledge of statutory requirements and policies, Ability to work across multiple teams, manage multiple simultaneous projects, analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills to oversee and apply planning legislation, Ability and willingness to think outside the square, be innovative and solutions orientated, Professional attitude with persuasive skills, interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills

A Snapshot As the Malaysia Development Planning Manager, you will report to the APAC Planning Director and work closely with Development, Design and Site Selection Teams, making your mark in several ways: Develop and provide strategic advice on the planning and execution of our projects around Malaysia from Site Selection through to construction. Manage early site assessments and planning applications, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and positive development outcomes. Provide support on all development and planning matters. Your Day to Day Onboard, manage and develop third party consultants and specialists to support. Execute development planning strategies to ensure we remain the leader in our industry in all markets. Ensure compliance to local planning requirements. Implement reporting, framework, processes and procedures to ensure strong governance.
