Full Job Description
The Amazon VAS team is looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical and motivated Planning & Forecasting Manager (PFM) to join our team to forecast and track category wise service supply. PFMs play a critical role in delivering the ideal customer experience, ensuring we have the right supply, in the right places, at the right time and removes inefficiencies in the supply chain. To achieve this mission as cost effectively as possible, PFMs work to continuously optimize our end-to-end supply chain, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to improve operational performance metrics, and driving automation. PFMs own the operational components of the P&L, and are responsible for setting and executing operational strategies to optimize margins and inventory health. A day in the life PFM will have high level responsibility covering the below mentioned capabilities and skills. ( a) Customer experience: PFM manages inputs that impact seller and customer experience. An ideal candidate understands end-to-end supply chain workflows and tailors best practices to meet business requirements, identifies key metrics to drive cost reduction opportunities. (b) Automation & system enhancements: PFM is responsible for identifying automation opportunities and improving non-automated processes. (c) Stakeholder Management: The PFM navigates across category teams, fulfillment teams, BI and other stakeholders to drive business objectives. (d) Strategic planning: PFM is responsible for defining and creating annual the operational plans. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - Bachelor's degree - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements Pre
