Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive assembly / tooling or assembly systems, Must be able to use hand tools, Some machining skills, Ability to read/interpret blue prints accurately as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, Knowledge of lubrication systems and air compressors, Understand precision equipment such as pumps, hydraulic motors, CNC boring mills, and other shop equipment, Knowledge of adhesive glue systems, Ability to work as a team member and individually, Ability to manage multiple tasks within the trade, Must have own tools, Good communication skills, Good mathematical skills, Familiar with Parker 801 hose, Familiar with push to connect tubing and fittings, Threading and grooving sch. 40 pipe up to 4”, Experience in reading pneumatic schematics, Trouble shooting
What You'll Do.
Hosing and piping of tools
fixtures and associated equipment
Install and maintain pressure system of piping
Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings
Fabricate and weld valve bank frames
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic components and water systems
Operate various machine tools and equipment
Carry out special projects
Anticipate and solve problems
Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner
Lock out all energy sources
Follow all safety rules

Use Personal Protective Equipment properly

Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market. **Job Responsibilities:** **_POSITION SUMMARY:_** The Pipefitter is responsible for hosing and piping of tools, fixtures and associated equipment used primarily within robotic/automated assembly lines for the automotive industry. The Pipefitter should be familiar with Parker 801 hose, push to connect tubing and fittings. The Pipefitter is also responsible for threading and grooving sch. 40 pipe up to 4”. Experience in reading pneumatic schematics and trouble shooting. _**PAY RATE:**_ $35 to $38 CAD ** _MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:_** * Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive assembly / tooling or assembly systems ** _CORE COMPETENCIES:_** * Must be able to use hand tools, (hand benders, power threaders, hydraulic hose grimpers etc.) * Some machining skills (lathe, milling machines, drill press, surface grinders etc.) * Ability to read/interpret blue prints accurately as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics * Knowledge of lubrication systems and air compressors * Understand precision equipment such as pumps, hydraulic motors, CNC boring mills, and other shop equipment * Knowledge of adhesive glue systems * Ability to work as a team
