Pipefitter

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled Pipefitters to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina. **Benefits:** * Weekly Pay * Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance * 401(k) with generous company match * Free Basic Life Insurance * Short & Long-Term Disability **Schedule:** 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary **Location:** High Point, NC **Responsibilities:** * Install industrial piping systems: chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water * Read blueprints and submittals * Fabricate pipe supports and spool copper lines * Work independently and problem solve * Repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping * Instruct plumbing helpers under your supervision * Practice all EAS safety procedures * Hold license to operate equipment necessary for the role **Education Requirements/Qualifications:** * Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required * Minimum of a high school education or equivalent * Rigging knowledge preferred * 5 years pipefitter experience preferred * Knowledge of pipefitter equipment, power tools, and fabrication methods * Knowledge of different types of pipe, valves, fittings, and their functions * General knowledge of code requirements and limitations * Knowledge of occupational hazards, including ladders **Job Requirements/Special Skills:** * Ownership of pipefitter hand tools * Ability to work independently and on a team * Strong verbal communication skills * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs * Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time * Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
