Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline, 0–5 years of experience in manufacturing, pilot plant, or process engineering, Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, Ability to design and implement practical engineering solutions, Effective collaboration and communication skills across functions, Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial operations, Exposure to Reliability Engineering, Lean/Six Sigma, RCA, or Continuous Improvement, Experience with process safety concepts (PSM, PHA, MOC), Familiarity with process equipment, instrumentation, and troubleshooting, SAP experience
What You'll Do.
Serve as engineering lead for pilot plant operations
Troubleshoot process and equipment issues
Provide technical leadership during upsets
Support pilot scheduling and execution
Identify and implement improvements in safety
Analyze process data and trends
Eliminate recurring issues and improve performance
Lead root cause investigations
Implement sustainable corrective actions
Recommend and execute process modifications
Translate R&D needs into engineering solutions
and implement equipment or process enhancements
Support capital projects end-to-end
Develop expertise across multiple pilot lines
Act as problem solver for process and equipment
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D
and external partners
Promote a safety culture
Ensure safe work practices are followed
Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Process
Support Management of Change (MOC) and environmental compliance
Lead or support incident investigations
Maintain technical documentation
and engineering records
and recommendations to stakeholders
Prepare reports and presentations
