## Location New York, New York ## ## Shift: Day (United States of America) ## ## Description: **Impact the Future of Radiation Oncology** **** **Physicist – Radiation Oncology - Full Time** NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic health care delivery systems, dedicated to providing the highest quality, most compassionate care to patients in the New York metropolitan area and throughout the globe. NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center is seeking a skilled medical physicist to join the physics group of an expanding department of Radiation Oncology in a patient-focused, high-tech environment offering leading edge treatments including a newly installed Icon Gamma Knife, MR-guided treatments, OSMS, ExacTrac, INTRABEAM IORT, TBI, HDR treatments and LDR implants. The department is comprised of two departments located across the street from each other: one is located on the 4th floor of a recently built 18-story outpatient facility while the 2nd is a hospital-based department. Treatment planning is provided through a combination of Eclipse, Brainlab, Leksell Gamma Plan, and Velocity platforms, all sharing ARIA as our backbone for EMR and Record&Verify systems. The successful candidate would join a team of 6 staff physicists, 3 faculty physicists along with 7 dosimetrists in support of a practice of 10 physicians. You would be actively involved with the Gamma Knife Icon unit which is situated within the Radiation Oncology clinical department, as well as participate in other standard radiation therapy physics activities: machine calibrations, equipment QA, treatment planning activities, dosimetry measurements, calculations, brachytherapy, radiation safety and some teaching. The department has a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency program. **Required Criteria** * M.S. or Ph.D. in physics, medical physics or related field * New York State Licensed medical physicist or New York State License eligible **Preferr
