What You'll Do.
Perform secretarial and administrative duties

Coordinate patient care

Serve as primary contact for provider(s)
Prioritize appointments and meetings
Examine clinical schedules
Identify opportunities for optimizing provider time

Gather information for referrals and prior authorizations
Anticipate insurance company needs
Apply provider preferences and protocols
Execute and/or delegate follow-up actions
Compose letters of correspondence
Edit letters of correspondence
Obtain signatures for correspondence
Compile information for appeals on denied claims
Manage provider documentation and information
Compose non-routine correspondence
Type non-routine correspondence
Arrange conference registration
Arrange hotel accommodations
Interface with organizations
Facilitate invited lectures and speaking engagements
Research hospital medical records
Determine order of daily surgeries and ambulatory procedures
Negotiate surgical/procedure schedule
