What You'll Do.

Perform secretarial and administrative duties

Prepare clinic operations

Manage provider time and calendars

Optimize provider-patient schedules

Coordinate patient care

Provide information/data support

Serve as primary contact for provider(s)

Prioritize appointments and meetings

Examine clinical schedules

Identify opportunities for optimizing provider time

Send orders for review and approval

Gather information for referrals

Gather information for prior authorizations

Apply provider preferences and protocols

Execute and/or delegate follow-up actions

Compose letters of correspondence

Edit letters of correspondence

Obtain signatures for letters

Compile information for appeals

Manage provider documentation and information

Compose non-routine correspondence

Type non-routine correspondence

Arrange conference registration

Arrange hotel accommodations

Interface with organizations and hospitals

Facilitate invited lectures and speaking engagements

Determine order of daily surgeries

Determine order of ambulatory procedures

Authorize overbooking of OR schedules

Authorize rearranging of OR schedules

Authorize rescheduling when cancellations occur

Order necessary surgical/procedure equipment

Order necessary surgical/procedure devices

Order necessary surgical/procedure medication

Confirm order fulfillment

Employ contingency strategies

Ensure materials are ready for surgery/procedures

Ensure locations are ready for surgery/procedures

Ensure patient education details vary

Ensure follow-up details vary

Account for completeness of pre-op testing

Account for completeness of evaluations

Assemble details from electronic medical record

Complete disability paperwork

Prioritize medical concerns

Obtain responses from providers

Follow up with patients

Serve as main point of contact for patients
