Manage hospital resources clinically
Supervise residents and medical students
Ensure immediate availability during shift
Prevent maternal and neonatal morbidity
Remediate clinical concerns
Manage unit resources
Provide on-site obstetric care
Facilitate transfers from outside hospitals
Provide clinical assistance to attendings
Assist in managing obstetric emergencies
Perform surgical assistance
Supervise resident physicians' management
