Bachelor's Degree Required, Physical Therapist - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Required, Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 Days Required

Review physician's referral (prescription)
and submitted medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required
Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient and incorporate proper interventions that can help patients better perform everyday tasks
and improve strength and mobility
Evaluate patients' functional ability through various standardized tests
measures patient's strength
and level of independence with daily activities
and records findings to develop treatment programs
Develop a treatment plan for patients with specific goals and tasks
Administer treatments involving application of physical agents
ultraviolet and infrared lamps

Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit
and progress in the patient’s electronic medical record and prepare reports as indicated by licensure

More than 2,500 team members at more than 70 Tidelands Health locations bring our healing mission to life each day. **A Brief Overview** Responsible for providing a full range of therapeutic services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualification, professional practices, and ethical standards. A physical therapist (PT) must be able to evaluate a patient's condition and devise a customized physical rehabilitation and treatment plan. The PTs' goal is to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability, to maximize quality of life in an outpatient rehab setting. The physical therapist shall also demonstrate accountability for the contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. The employee may have job functions where they will handle and deliver medications based on the requirements of their job in the assigned work facility.
