Full Job Description
Stanbridge University is seeking clinically experienced Adjunct Faculty members to support instruction within the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program. Faculty may teach in classroom, laboratory, and simulation-based settings across areas including orthopedic rehabilitation, neurologic rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, modalities, and rehabilitative interventions. This role is ideal for licensed Physical Therapists (PTs) or Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) who are passionate about student learning, clinical excellence, and preparing future healthcare professionals through hands-on, evidence-based instruction. Adjunct faculty play a vital role in supporting student success, professional development, and program excellence in alignment with CAPTE accreditation standards and Stanbridge University’s student-centered educational model. ### Essential Functions * Deliver engaging in-person instruction in assigned PTA courses and laboratory environments. * Teach and demonstrate rehabilitation interventions, therapeutic exercise, mobility training, modalities, and patient-care techniques. * Facilitate student learning through lectures, demonstrations, case studies, simulation activities, and collaborative instruction. * Assess student competency through practical examinations, assignments, written evaluations, and skills assessments. * Provide timely feedback, mentorship, and academic support to students. * Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and instructional documentation. * Collaborate with faculty and program leadership on curriculum quality, accreditation support, and student success initiatives. * Maintain current knowledge of rehabilitation practices, clinical standards, and educational methodologies. ### Qualifications ### Required * Current and unrestricted California licensure as either: * Physical Therapist (PT), or * Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) * * Minimum of four (4) years of relevant clinical experience. * Bachelor’s degree required for
