2+ years of pre-sales, customer facing, engineering experience, 2+ years’ experience in estimating, design or engineering, Experience in the industry or related experience working with large-scale projects or national deployments, Experience designing, configuring and engineering Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion, infrastructure, data networks, Intermediate Excel skills including formatting and formula creation, Intermediate MS Word skills, Working knowledge of IP Networking

What You'll Do.
Creating estimates and proposals for customers
Gathering information from a variety of sources
Using established software tools to create estimates
Building a bill of materials
Estimating the labor associated with all tasks of the project
Writing comprehensive proposals for the customer
Engaging with the sales team as the product expert
Discussing Video Surveillance
Access Control and Intrusion systems and services with sales team and customers
Reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements
Gathering and compiling information to create estimates for customers
Developing Bill of Materials for assigned projects
Working with internal purchasing department and manufacturers for lowest cost pricing
Computing cost factors and preparing estimates
Writing comprehensive scope of work and formal proposals
Attending internal and external meetings
Participating in project kick-off meetings
Consulting with assigned internal customers
sales or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
Assisting Operations personnel with understanding agreements and bid figures
Acting as the subject matter expert in a technical capacity for assigned projects
Managing multiple tasks related to assigned customer with a sense of urgency and in a timely manner with accuracy

Engage with the sales team as the product expert and as an integral part of the sales process; Assist Project Managers by providing information related to the solution; Assist Sales Account Managers by acting as a subject matter expert; Consult with assigned internal customers, vendors, sales or other individuals; Assist Operations personnel with understanding agreements and bid figures

SUMMARY: The Physical Security Solution Engineer will be responsible for creating estimates and proposals for customers. This involves gathering information from a variety of sources and using it to create an estimate using our established software tools. You will be responsible for building a bill of materials and estimating the labor associated with all tasks of the project. This information is then used to write a comprehensive proposal for the customer. Some projects are relatively straightforward, while others will require you to think outside of the box. You will assist Project Managers by providing information related to the solution, and you will assist Sales Account Managers by acting as a subj
