Must Have

High School Diploma or Equivalent required, 0-1 year internship or equivalent required

Nice to Have

Phlebotomy Technician (PT) [PBT(ASCP)] preferred, Experience in a hospital Laboratory 3-5 years preferred

Obtain blood specimens from patients

Maintain a professional atmosphere

Handle biohazardous material

Follow safety precautions

Verify specimen and labeling requirements

Register and label tubes correctly

Centrifuge and aliquot specimens

Resolve specimen problems

Answer telephones and provide assistance
