Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience, Ability to perform all testing required at satellite locations
Nice to Have
Drug screen collection preferred, Phlebotomy Technician Certification (NHA), CLA Certificate preferred
What You'll Do.
Draw blood cultures using aseptic technique
Process Stat specimens
Prepare collection containers
Give instructions for home specimen collection
Measure and record 24-hr collection volume
Collect COC Urine Drug Screen
Administer and collect H. pylori Breath test
Handle orders on minors
Complete paperwork and label specimens
Process satellite specimens
Deliver specimens to appropriate department
Monitor inventory levels
Delete/cancel orders with documentation
Ensure proper patient charge deletion
Recall patients for follow-up
Document callbacks in lab logbook
Utilize LIS for job duties
Adapt work schedule for staffing needs
Check-in a patient in a satellite lab
Arrive patient on day-list
Process lab and office collected specimens
Transport specimens to main lab
Contact courier for Stat pickup
Perform Rapid Strep test
Perform Hemoccult test
Enter Rapid Strep result
Enter Hemoccult result
Notify physician of critical result
