Perform blood collections by venipuncture

Collect specimens for paternity tests
Collect specimens for alcohol tests
Perform data entry of patient information
Process billing information
Prepare all collected specimens for testing
Prepare all collected specimens for analysis
Maintain patient information logs
Maintain specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Perform administrative duties
Perform clerical duties
Travel to additional sites

Labcorp is seeking **Phlebotomist** to join our team at 1360 W. 6th St STE 190., San Pedro, CA 90732. **Work Schedule:** Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, with rotating Saturdays **Job Responsibilities:** * Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups * Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. * Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner * Process billing information and collecting payments when required * Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis * Maintain patient and specimen information logs * Provide superior customer service to all patients * Administrative and clerical duties as necessary * Travel to additional sites when needed **Minimum Qualifications:** * High school diploma or GED or equivalent * California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT) **Preferred Qualifications:** * 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist * Current or Prior experience at LabCorp **Additional Job Standards:** * In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement. * Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English * Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. * Flexibility to work overtime as needed * Exceptional customer service * Strong communication skills; both written and verbal * Ability to work independently or in a team environment * Comfortable working under minimal supervision * Reliable transportation At LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
