Weekend and holiday rotation, Required to travel to sites within 25 miles other than base location, Per diem work is determined by the departments need and the employee’s availability, Flexibility is an expectation of the per diem position, Must be accessible to appropriate and reliable transportation

Must Have

6 months to 2 years related experience and/or training preferred, Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization, Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs, Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations, Knowledge of Word Processing software, Certification required by the American Heart Association for Basic Life Support to include adult, child and infant

Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently may be required based on service location

What You'll Do.

Collects clinical laboratory specimens

Performs tasks associated with patient registration

Performs tasks associated with order entry

Performs tasks associated with specimen processing

Performs waived testing

Provides logistical support to team members

Performs venipunctures

Explains proper specimen collection procedures

Clarifies orders and pre-analytical test requirements

Performs requisitions lab orders

Verifies billing information

Maintains knowledge of specimen requirements

Maintains knowledge of collection devices

Maintains adequate inventory of supplies

Ensures a meticulous work area

Assists in orientation of new staff

Assists in training of new staff

Assists in mentoring new staff

Participates in Continuous Service Improvement

Participates in continuing education programs

Records expense reimbursement

Documents expense reimbursement

Provides on-call service

Provides mobile service
