Collects clinical laboratory specimens
Performs tasks associated with patient registration
Performs tasks associated with order entry
Performs tasks associated with specimen processing
Performs waived testing
Performs venipunctures
Explains proper collection procedures
Clarifies orders and pre-analytical test requirements
Performs requisitions lab orders
Verifies billing information
and transport specimens
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of changes
Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies
Ensures a meticulous work area
Records and documents necessary expense reimbursement
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Provides logistical support to team members; Assists in the orientation, training, and mentoring new staff members
Communication Scope
Ability to read and interpret documents; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; Ability to speak effectively before groups
