Must Have
Basic Life Support certification required by the American Heart Association
Nice to Have
6 months to 2 years related experience and/or training
What You'll Do.
Collects clinical laboratory specimens
Performs tasks associated with patient registration
Performs tasks associated with order entry
Performs tasks associated with specimen processing
Performs waived testing
Performs venipunctures
Explains proper specimen collection procedures
Clarifies orders and pre-analytical test requirements
Performs requisitions lab orders
Verifies billing information
and transport specimens
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of specimen requirements
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of collection devices
Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies
Ensures a meticulous work area
Records and documents expense reimbursement
Provides on-call and mobile service
Travel to sites for coverage

Team & Collaboration
Provides logistical support to team members; Assists in the orientation, training, and mentoring new staff members
Communication Scope
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization; Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently may be required
