What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High School Diploma or GED, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross, Proficiency in blood collection from patients of all age groups
Nice to Have
One year of college or equivalent, Six months of experience in phlebotomy and laboratory processing
What You'll Do.
Perform reference laboratory processing
Perform related techniques
Prepare samples for testing
Manage specimens in laboratory information system
Prepare and ship reference laboratory specimens
Resolve pending specimens and pending transports
Monitor test ordering patients and requisitions
