Must Have
Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program at an accredited college or recognized equivalent required, Registration as a Pharmacy Technician (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required, Ability to work under minimal supervision and to manage competing priorities, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Excellent interpersonal skills, Ability to learn and troubleshoot changing technologies/machinery, Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
Nice to Have
Two years practical and related experience preferred, Previous hospital experience with unit dose system and intravenous admixture service, preferred
What You'll Do.
Independently performing all technical aspects of prescription preparation including compounding and dispensing responsibilities
Replenishing stock medication supplies for assigned
Ensuring patient information is updated and maintained in the pharmacy computer
Completing all required reports
participating and assisting in staff and patient training/educational
Performing workload measurement support
And performing cross-functional and/other duties consistent with the job classification
as assigned or requested
