Must Have
High school graduate, with courses in math and science, successful completion of on-the-job training in each area of the department within the first six months of employment
Nice to Have
Current pharmacy student, six months previous hospital pharmacy experience
What You'll Do.
Perform unit dose activities
Fill patient medication orders
Process floor stock orders
Prepare outpatient prescriptions
Inspect medication areas
Maintain controlled substance records
Utilize pharmacy computer system
Prepare IV/Admixtures
Label pre-mixed solutions
Restock solutions and supplies
Prepare parenteral nutrition solutions
Prepare anti-neoplastic solutions
Prepare extemporaneous compounds
Answer telephone/window
Involve other pharmacy staff
Direct drug information questions
Communicate pertinent information
Prepare prepackaged medications
Maintain adequate par levels
Complete IV/Admixtures lab competencies
Perform routine activities
Provide additional help
