Must Have
Pharmacy Technician in Training - South Dakota Board of Pharmacy Registered with respective state's Board of Pharmacy within State requirements within 30 Days, Certified Pharmacy Technician - Board of Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician Board Certification or alternative approved training/certification program. Extensions beyond 1 year may be available in some states within 1 Year, Registered Pharmacy Technician - Board of Pharmacy An active registration in the state of practice within 30 Days, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Upon Hire, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Upon Hire

What You'll Do.
Assists in drug preparation
and inventory management within a variety of pharmacy environments.
Accurately inputs and/or prepares labels and packages inpatient or outpatient medication orders and prescriptions to maintain an efficient
and high-quality medication delivery system.
Demonstrates proficient knowledge of medications
and regulation limitations
personal protective equipment
and promotion of patient safety to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance.
Performs clerical functions such as
billing and pharmacy inventory procedures to promote an efficient medication distribution system.
Assists with the collection and maintenance of records as needed by the Pharmacy Department and applicable accreditations such as Utilization Review Accreditation Commission
or other accreditations as may be required by law
or departmental policy to maintain compliance with accreditation entities.
May be responsible for assisting customers on the phone or in person.
May run reports and use the automated dispensing system.
Monthly inspections of medication stocks in assigned areas.
Assist with inventory to prevent drug shortages or excesses.
Proficiency of compounding practices
