Must Have
Board of Pharmacy Technician License (Registered or Certified), Technician Trainee accepted with expectation of incumbent to become registered or certified within 90 days of hire
Nice to Have
Certification by examination as a pharmacy technician (CPhT, ExCPT), Six months of previous pharmacy experience preferred
What You'll Do.
Aids pharmacists in preparation and dispensing
Prepares sterile products
non-sterile medications
Ensures delivery of medications to nursing units
Trains new technicians
Demonstrates knowledge of USP 795
monthly documentation
Fills unit-dose medication cart
Restocks pharmacy work areas
Inspects medication storage areas for expired medications
Assist pharmacists in processing new medication orders
Participates in training new employees
Participates in peer review process
